Winter Garden or Glazed Terrace: Plan for Seasonal Use

In short: Both options should be assessed as sheltered terrace spaces. Gazebo winter gardens are for spring to autumn, with no heating included.

What does a terrace enclosure give you?

Glazing shelters a terrace from wind and rain while keeping a view of the garden. It does not by itself create an indoor living room. The outdoor temperature, sunlight and ventilation still affect comfort.

What should I compare?

Compare the frame material, dimensions, glass specification, opening panels, drainage and shading. Check that the layout leaves enough space to open panels and walk around the furniture. Choose the specification for your terrace, rather than relying on the name of the enclosure.

What about insulation and heating?

No Gazebo model includes heating. An infrared heater is available as an optional extra. Wood Garden walls can have optional insulated double glazing. Neither point is a promise that the enclosure works as a heated room throughout winter. The infrared heater provides warmth only while switched on.

Can an existing pergola be glazed?
